Ireland, Scotland, England & Wales: Anseo A Thagann Sí

Three short days and our precious Anna Maria(21) boards a plane and heads off on an adventure of a life time. She lands in Dublin and then begins her travels throughout Ireland; then later on Scotland, England and Wales. Three months living and working in Ireland and the UK will be a wonderful experience and we will be following her travels vicariously through photos, email and skype.

Anna Maria has researched well and has an itinerary complete with a list of sights to see and adventures to experience. If any of my readers from Ireland and the UK have 'must see' recommendations to add to the list, we'd love to hear from you.
If anyone has any suggestions or advice for traveling internationally please share.  And of course if you can keep her in your prayers, always much appreciated.

  1. I assume you know that Duolingo offers Irish? While not without issues, it's a great course, I've been doin it since it launched.

  2. It's a fun language—but completely insane, utterly barmy, and easily the most difficult language I've ever attempted to learn!

  4. Tomorrow's the big day! I'm so nervous for her, but what an amazing time awaits! She CANNOT go wrong in Ireland. The main advice I have is not to rush. Ireland unfolds best when we pause and ponder. x

      You're the sweetest{} This is why three months is good, spoke recently to people who were traveling to several different countries including Ireland, all within 5 weeks! Such a whirlwind

      It helps that she had previously left home for 18 months, then come home for 9 months and now left again. Luckily you have a few more years{}
